Speaking of getting crab meat all over your face…

Adventure Log by Arpunia No Comments »

The adventurers returned to town and bargained their way onto a Lizardfolk ship in a gladiatorial fight of strength.  Succor won the contest in a bloody show by ripping out the eyeball from one of the Lizardfolk fighters.  They met the captain, an old Lizardfolk of few words.  Also on the ship were four other passengers;  A Scribe chronicling the adventures of Capt Lizzy,  An Old-World Exile waiting a free port to disembark,  A Fugitive who helps where he can and also wants more wine, and an Explorer waiting for warmer climates.  The captain asked the adventurers to take on two of his more troublesome crew members; a strange arcanist and an archer.  Then they set sail for Bigfoot Island…

Viking: Trouble of the Moon

Adventure Log by Arpunia No Comments »

After the immediate crazyness in the castle, Astrid was detained by the castle guards but not for the reasons you may expect.  Most of the high ranking military captains and several of the council members were meeting to discuss city defenses.  Shortly after the witch flew out of the city, it was discovered that all of these officials are dead.  The guards rushed Astrid to a windowless room in the castle.  There she was greeted by the high ranking guards she just befriended.  They explain the situation then say, “The Jarl is gone, his son is murdered, our captains are murdered, and a Tyr-damned witch just flew out of the Loki-fucking castle.  Astrid.  You are the only friend we have left.  You have seen these things before.  What do we do now?”

The Band of Miners

Adventure Log by Arpunia No Comments »

About a month ago, Elios got all excited about picking up a new career in mining.  The Band of Blades was happy to oblige his request and we escorted 6 workers, 2 mining experts, and 4 soldiers into the 3rd level of the Dragon’s Delve.

We were immediately greeted by the ghostly form of a Wraith.  Elios recognized it as an undead abomination that would suck the life force from your body.  Not having much force in his body, Elios immediately screamed in fright as it reached out and grabbed at him.  Ox snorted in disgust and destroyed with the Magical maul we picked up from the sewers.  The workers were amazed and his awesome display of smiting power.  The Band of Blades reputation will continue to rise.

The Smell of Gold

Adventure Log by Arpunia No Comments »

When we opened the orphanage twelve years ago, we were limited in our options by the availability of reliable sewer access. The main channel ran down the city like a spine and the store fronts and noble houses in that area were not in our price range. Running a new line to the poorer parts of the town involved a 5 year wait list. We had almost given up on the project until one retired old artisan lent us his old textile shop. It was originally built as a bath house. The pools were later sealed and divided into smaller dying vats. We were able to reopen the drains and make private water closets for most of our rooms. Cracking the seals on those drains was one of the foulest smelling experiences of my life.  We hired a plumber to finish the job.  When he came into the building he asked us, “You know what that smells like?”

This Game Is Easy If All You Roll Are 20s

Adventure Log by Arxaggus 1 Comment »

Having fully organized the Assessor’s Office and found a map of the surrounding area that I’ve used to correct errors on me own map, Elios was fit and ready for another adventure into Dragon’s Delve.

Yippie Dippie and Trippie

Adventure Log by Arpunia No Comments »

Meatwad, Skandale, and I left the city through the north east gate toward Durgram’s Folly to investigate the site of an ambush against the city guard. We suspect Boros was the cause but needed some more proof. Skandale demanded that we stay off of the road so as to not fall into another trap. He and Meat spent much of the journey with one eye closed and the other in a spyglass. Good for finding trees and small furry creatures in the distance, they seemed to loose sight of the sun’ arc. If not for my guidance these two would have headed off toward the coast and lost the road.

You Are One of the Dumbest People I’ve Ever Met…Let’s Go Talk to the Door

Adventure Log by Arxaggus No Comments »

There is no shortage of horse attendants these days.  Whenever word gets out that the Band of Blades is heading to Dragon’s Delve, we are awash in volunteers ready to stand guard on the surface while we head into the depths in search of treasure.  This week, we tested two of them on the first level, and had a third enter midway after yet another death occurred in the dark tunnels below Westhaven.  In addition, Traunk’s wife Arpunia, a mighty warrioress, took her husband’s place at our side.  Including the party regulars of meself, the Doc, Elios, Wrenly, Ham, and Meatwad, the party totaled nine.  I had logistics concerns as to how we were to maneuver in the tight hallways, but was shouted down by Elios.  And why Skandale refuses to adventure with us into the Delve is anyone’s guess.

None More Trapped

Adventure Log by Arxaggus 1 Comment »

Somewhere in our brains we got the idea to lay a trap for Boros the Ninefingers.  A few weeks back we came across one of his goblinoid war parties, who deprived us of several horses.  We captured one of his goblins and formulated what we thought was a really sneaky method of laying an ambush for him.  Sadly, we weren’t as clever as we’d hoped.  Although Boros did arrive at Aiden’s Hill right when we wanted him to, he turned up with near fifty of his best warriors, two catapults, and a back-door strike force of another fifteen.

Life is Too Short to Fight Drunken Gnolls

Adventure Log by Arxaggus No Comments »

The Delve without Elios?  Inconceivable!  But such is life.  To think the old human was actually too busy organizing the Assessor’s Office to adventure with us.  Hrmph!
