Eulogy for Elios

Character Background by Arpunia No Comments »

There is much legend surrounding the exploits for the Band of Blades, some of it is true, some is hyperbole.  For me, the Band of Blades greatest accomplishments will never be the battles we fought, it will always be in the friendships we formed.

Consolidated Lore Documents from Dragon’s Delve

Misc by DM Tristan Comments Off

Crasien’s Journal
Added October 16, 2011

This tattered tome has a stiff leather cover with an iron hasp. Inside, the writing is a tight scrawl in a mixture of Common and the occasional bit of Abyssal on pages stained, smudged, and occasionally torn. All these factors work together to make this a very difficult book to read.

The Band of Miners

Adventure Log by Arpunia No Comments »

About a month ago, Elios got all excited about picking up a new career in mining.  The Band of Blades was happy to oblige his request and we escorted 6 workers, 2 mining experts, and 4 soldiers into the 3rd level of the Dragon’s Delve.

We were immediately greeted by the ghostly form of a Wraith.  Elios recognized it as an undead abomination that would suck the life force from your body.  Not having much force in his body, Elios immediately screamed in fright as it reached out and grabbed at him.  Ox snorted in disgust and destroyed with the Magical maul we picked up from the sewers.  The workers were amazed and his awesome display of smiting power.  The Band of Blades reputation will continue to rise.

Magical Sigil Found in the Delve! (Not by the Band of Blades…)

DM Announcement by DM (Russ) 1 Comment »

A competing adventurer has been crowing lately about a strange but powerful marking he found “left behind by the band of snobs in the horse room” of the Delve. He took a quick rubbing of the thing to bring back to town and figured out that if etched onto a weapon, you can activate it and “pierce kobolds like warm butter.”

There is one weaponsmith in town willing to do the etching, for 25 gold.

Having fully organized the Assessor’s Office and found a map of the surrounding area that I’ve used to correct errors on me own map, Elios was fit and ready for another adventure into Dragon’s Delve.

Itching for further discovering of arcane secrets at Dragon’s Delve, Elios bugged me to lead another expedition to the halls beneath the ruins of Chordille Keep.  Wisely, I took the Doc as well and convinced Drom Fragula and Xanytha to tag along.  I was eager to promote them from recruit status to full-fledged members of the Band of Blades.  Today they would earn their tabards.

You Are One of the Dumbest People I’ve Ever Met…Let’s Go Talk to the Door

Adventure Log by Arxaggus No Comments »

There is no shortage of horse attendants these days.  Whenever word gets out that the Band of Blades is heading to Dragon’s Delve, we are awash in volunteers ready to stand guard on the surface while we head into the depths in search of treasure.  This week, we tested two of them on the first level, and had a third enter midway after yet another death occurred in the dark tunnels below Westhaven.  In addition, Traunk’s wife Arpunia, a mighty warrioress, took her husband’s place at our side.  Including the party regulars of meself, the Doc, Elios, Wrenly, Ham, and Meatwad, the party totaled nine.  I had logistics concerns as to how we were to maneuver in the tight hallways, but was shouted down by Elios.  And why Skandale refuses to adventure with us into the Delve is anyone’s guess.

Life is Too Short to Fight Drunken Gnolls

The Delve without Elios?  Inconceivable!  But such is life.  To think the old human was actually too busy organizing the Assessor’s Office to adventure with us.  Hrmph!

This is How One Crits a Puzzle

Adventure Log by Arxaggus No Comments »

Having finally gained a rough knowledge of what surrounds Westhaven, we decided to return to (somewhat) familiar ground: the vast underground network of treasure- and danger-filled hallways known as Dragon’s Delve.

A Fallen Comrade

Adventure Log by Elios No Comments »

Our second excursion to Dragon’s Delve proved to be both informative and costly. Having spent long hours contemplating what questions would best be asked of a Goddess of nature I was exceptionally disappointed to find the pool used to summon Glarius empty, with no trace of the enchanted water that had filled it previously. My disappointment dissipated quickly with John’s discovery of a most curious door we had overlooked in our first visit.
